Trudy-Ann Dixon Frith was admitted to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in Jamaica in 2005 and is currently a member of the firm's litigation department. Prior to joining the firm, she was attached to the Attorney General's Chambers as Assistant Attorney General (actg.) for in excess of five (5) years. Trudy-Ann obtained a Bachelor of Laws Degree with honours in 2003 and thereafter successfully completed her professional qualification by obtaining the Certificate of Legal Education in 2005. Trudy-Ann is a seasoned litigator and an experienced general civil practitioner. She has acted as lead counsel at civil trials at first instance courts as well as at the Court of Appeal. Her professional experience is extensive and includes the conducting of legal research and provision of legal advice/opinions to various government ministries, departments and agencies on a wide range of civil matters encompassing the interpretation and application of various legislation as well as conducting litigation in various areas including administrative and public law (judicial review and constitutional motions); extradition matters; injunctions; land law (including compulsory acquisition of land); trust law; general commercial law; government procurement procedures; employment and labour relations law and general contract and tort law (including medical negligence and other personal injuries matters). She is also trained in alternative dispute resolution techniques. Trudy-Ann is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association where she served as a member of the Medico-Legal Committee and is presently a member of the Information Technology sub-committee of the General Legal Council and was a former Executive Secretary of the Legal Officers' Staff Association. She is also an active member of a community development organization for inner city communities and is a mentor attached to Youth Opportunities Unlimited.
