Mr. David K. Ellis is a member of the firm’s civil and commercial litigation team. He was admitted to practice as an attorney-at-law in December 2016.

Since joining the firm, David has represented individual and corporate clientele at various levels of Jamaica’s Court system. Within the ambit of civil and commercial litigation and labour disputes, David has acted in a variety of matters involving, inter alia: commercial service contracts, security instruments, shareholder disputes, unfair dismissal claims, tax disputes, insolvent individuals and companies, inquiries as to damages and property disputes.

David is a graduate of the University of the West Indies having obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree (Upper Second-Class Honours) in the year 2014. He thereafter obtained his Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School (“NMLS”) in the year 2016 and was the recipient of the K.C. Burke Memorial prize for being the final year student with the most outstanding performance in the area of corporate and commercial law. During his time at NMLS, David served on the Corporate and Commercial Working Group and served as the President of the Environmental Law Society of the Norman Manley Law School Students’ Association.

David is a member of the Jamaica Bar Association and the Information Technology Committee of the General Legal Council. David is also a fan of tennis and a lover of the outdoors.
